CHAPTER 17

Jazzy, Cha Cha, and Maya went looking for Big Momma to see if they could get some answers about who broke into their room, but Big Momma was nowhere to be found. This was weird to them because Big Momma was definitely at The Waverly before they went to Manhattan for their celebration dinner.

“This had to have happened before I got on duty,” Nancy told the girls after she walked up to their room to look at everything first hand.

“Well, didn’t they upgrade the security after the shooting? Look on the videotapes and see who came and who left, so we can narrow it down to who the fuck did this shit to us,” Jazzy said.

“Watch your mouth, Jazzy,” Nancy warned.

Jazzy gave Nancy a look to kill, but she kept her mouth shut.

“As far as the videotapes, we had cameras on the upper floors near the bedrooms, but we had to disconnect the cameras due to privacy issues, and we only have them operating mainly at all of the entrances to the building,” Nancy explained.

All of the girls shook their heads in disbelief, and then they listened to Nancy as she told them that all she could do was call the police and have them fill out a police report.

After Nancy walked off to go call the police, Jazzy said, “It was that fat miserable bitch, Big Momma, who got us.”

Cha Cha and Maya thought to themselves for a moment, but they couldn’t come up with a motive that Big Momma would have to want to rob them.

“She robbed us, so her fat ass can eat Big Macs and French fries all day long! I’m telling y’all, it was that bitch, and I swear on everything, I’m confronting her ass tomorrow when she gets here,” Jazzy said.

“How can you say it was definitely her? Nancy could be the culprit just as well as Big Momma!” Maya reasoned. “And we still didn’t narrow down Ashanti and the other girls.”

“I know it was Big Momma because she’s MIA. How the fuck she disappear on the night we get jacked? How could she do that if she’s leaving her shift early? Ain’t no way she would risk getting fired unless she had a good enough reason to jet,” Jazzy explained. “And that bitch is greedy for money! I’m telling you she did it.”

“What the fuck are we going to do now?” Maya started to pick up some of the clothes from on the floor.

“Maya don’t touch anything until the cops get here,” Cha Cha warned.

“You know the cops aren’t going to do a goddamn thing when they get here,” Maya replied, and she continued to clean up the disaster.

Jazzy and Cha Cha sat in silence for a few minutes until Ashanti and one of the other girls in The Waverly walked past their room. Ashanti did a double take after passing their room, and after she saw the ransacked room, she let out loud laughter.

Cha Cha got up and walked into the hallway.
